DON’T TAKE THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE
Do you love to try something new? Are you a little leery sometimes to go somewhere you have never been? I LOVE trying something new! I know there are times I have been a little nervous but it so worth ignoring the nerves or the fear.
I had really been wanting to head to Nashville, TN to visit my daughters. Funny side note, all three of them now live together again as women in their twenties in the same house. As a mom, it sure warms my heart that they love each other to want to live together again. Back to the story…As I scrolled Instagram a few weeks ago, I saw that Lisa Harper was going to be taping a new Bible Study in Franklin, TN. Lisa is a fantastic storyteller and teacher. I was so excited to have the possible opportunity. Long story short…one of my daughters and myself got on the waitlist. The email told us we would be contacted if a seat opened up.
Do you always accept what you are told or do you think of possible, legal (ha!) alternatives to get to experience what you want? Now going to see Lisa Harper didn’t require any risk…it just required not accepting the email saying we would be contacted. We went anyway!! We stood in line with everyone else and just told them we were waitlisted. The beauty…they just told us to wait until everyone was seated and they were pretty sure we would get in. WE DID! Lisa was wonderful – her teaching was fantastic and the stories she used to tie into the teaching were awesome!
We enjoyed the evening as a mom and daughter and were blessed by Lisa Harper. Why is this significant? I think in general, we put off doing something we want on many occasions. We go with the path of least resistance. 2020 has stolen from all of us this year! We need to fight back and live! We can live and still follow all of the health safety protocol. We are not guaranteed tomorrow! I have definitely learned that this year…even though I knew that all along and just never paid close enough attention.
THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!
