The other day, in what seemed out of the blue, my husband said “I miss going to concerts!”. Oh my goodness… ME TOO!!
We LOVE going to concerts in the summer especially. Our local towns have many opportunities for small outdoor concerts in the summer. Then we have a large, outdoor venue that welcomes many popular bands throughout the spring, summer and fall.
Who ever thought when we were enjoying Thomas Rhett in concert a few summers ago, that we would not be able to choose if we went to see him again the next summer. The decision was made for us by COVID-19 and safety protocols. It makes me sad, it makes me angry and it makes me long for normal! I absolutely love music! I absolutely love watching the gifts of those musicians in the band as they perform. I absolutely love hanging outside on a warm evening with my hubby, family and/or friends. Do you miss something as well?
I miss many things….hugging my parents, just enjoying going out to dinner without having to wear a mask inside until we sit down, having family get togethers for holidays just to name a few. So, what are we going to do about it? I think we have to get creative until the world opens back up.
So if I can’t go to a concert…I will create my own. I will listen to the music I love, sing like crazy and dream of the days to come when we can go to a concert. So if I can’t see my friends…I will create a Zoom get together, laugh, share and drink a little wine if I want. So I can’t travel exactly the way I want…I will go on the trips that I can go on, such as visiting Nashville, TN to see my daughters and enjoy some of my favorite things in one of my favorite cities. What do you want to do but can’t completely right now? How will you change to make it happen as best you can?
We have to WEAR THE PERFUME! We have to be proactive, creative, forward thinking and not be defeated. Life is weird right now…but I will not let it rule me…I will not live in fear…I will enjoy my life…it is way too short!!
What will you do? LET’S MAKE IT HAPPEN!
THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!
WEAR THE PERFUME!
